Objective(s) The present study was undertaken to investigate the nociception activity of promethazine, a tranquillizer devoid of hypnotic activity in mice. Materials and Methods Antinociception was evaluated, using the acetic acid-induced writhing, tail flick, hot plate and formalin pain tests.
